About

While the other kids were watching Barney and The Wiggles, my eyes were glued to the screen watching Duff Goldman and Rachel Ray on Food Network. I dreamed of opening and operating my own bakery or restaurant like the ones on TV. So, I practiced. Everything from layered cakes to fresh bruschetta, seared scallops, and fudgy cookies would grace my family’s dinner table weekly. I would even imitate games of Chopped with my sisters and cousins. It should surprise no one that I now live out my dream in the food industry.

During college, I wrote for and led Syracuse University’s chapter of Spoon University, further solidifying my passion for food and work within the food media industry. After graduating from The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in graphic design, I moved to New York and worked in the corporate world for two years. I never stopped hosting extravagant dinner parties for my friends and testing out new recipes in my tiny galley kitchen. In Fall 2023, my dream of becoming a chef was stronger than ever; I enrolled at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City and completed my Culinary Arts certificate in May 2024. Following graduation, I did an externship at the test kitchen at Marley Spoon, a meal delivery service owned by the Martha Stewart Corporation.

What I love about the food industry is the collaboration. Working under Elena Besser, I began volunteering for The Lineup, a dinner series highlighting the best cooks working the line at New York's top restaurants. I have had the honor to assist chefs from restaurants such as Shukette, Sailor, Union Square Cafe, Agi’s Counter, and Sofreh, helping prepare these esteemed chefs’ delicious dishes like Handkerchief Pasta with a Spicy Vodka Sauce, Curried Goat with Mango Chutney and Deconstructed Rice Pudding.

My cooking style blends traditional techniques with fun flavors and unique plating. With the understanding that food is a means to heal, I always source fresh and local ingredients. I enjoy cooking all cuisines but tend to gravitate to Mediterranean, Italian, and comfort foods.  My s’mores cookies are already a fan favorite! I have previously cooked for a family with health concerns and I can and will easily accommodate any dietary restrictions, while still creating dynamic menus.

So whether you are looking for someone to prepare weekly meals, host a dinner party, do a kids’ cooking party, or help you meal plan, please reach out. I can’t wait to cook for you!
